  • Ralph S.J. Koijen has joined LSV as an Academic Advisor. Ralph is a distinguished Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Ralph is at the forefront of research specializing in the application of machine learning and language models to finance. Ralph is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He is a co-director of the NBER Asset Pricing program. He serves as a co-editor of the Review of Financial Studies. Professor Koijen was awarded the 2019 Fischer Black Prize by the American Finance Association, given biennially to the top financial economics scholar under the age of 40. He was also awarded the 2021 Bernacer prize given to the best European economist under 40 working in macroeconomics and finance.
  • Ron Graziano has joined the investment team as a Director of Accounting Research. Prior to joining LSV, Ron was a Managing Director and served 20 years as the Global Accounting & Tax Research Equity Analyst for Credit Suisse (HOLT). Ron is an Adjunct Accounting Professor at DePaul Business school, an appointed member of the FASB Investment Advisory Committee, and a CPA.
  • Ravi Jagannathan, Ph.D. has joined LSV as an Academic Advisor. Ravi is the CME Group/John F. Sandner Chair of Finance at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Ravi is one of the leading Finance professors and has published numerous papers in top-tier academic journals. Ravi has received many awards including the Graham & Dodd, Murray, Greenwald prize for Value Investing.
  • Josh Dupont has been promoted to lead the Business Development efforts for LSV. Josh has been with LSV for over 7 years and most recently served as Partner & Director, Client Portfolio Services.

  • Harrison Hong, Ph.D., joined LSV as an Academic Advisor during 2Q18. Harrison is the John R. Eckel Jr. Professor of Financial Economics at Columbia University. He was awarded the 2009 Fischer Black Prize by the American Finance Association, given biennially to a financial economics scholar under the age of 40 for significant original research that is relevant to finance practice. He received his B.A. in economics and statistics with highest distinction from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992 and his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997. He was previously a Professor of Economics and Finance at Princeton University and an Associate Professor of Finance at Stanford University, Graduate School of Business. Harrison will enhance LSV’s research effort on a project basis and we look forward to his contributions to our research agenda. Harrison’s research interests include behavioral finance and stock market efficiency, asset pricing and trading under market imperfections, incentives and biases in decision making and organizational form and performance.

  • Effective April 1, 2017, we have added one new employee to the LSV Partnership. Congratulations to Rajeev Uppalapati, Systems Analyst, our newest employee owner.
  • Effective April 1, 2016, four employees have been named partners at LSV. Congratulations to Titus Liu, Systems Analyst; Josh O’Donnell, Chief Compliance Officer/ Chief Legal Officer; Marisa Rosenblatt, Senior Marketing Analyst/ Client Service Analyst; and Brian Sanderson, Trader.
  • FMA Names Josef Lakonishok Outstanding Financial Executive of the Year: Founding Partner, CEO and CIO of LSV Asset Management Josef Lakonishok received the 2015 Outstanding Financial Executive Award from the Financial Management Assocation International (FMA) at its annual meeting in Orlando in October 2015. FMA serves the global finance community by promoting the development of high-quality research and enhancing the quality of and relevance of education in finance. It encourages and recognizes academic and professional excellence in the finance field. Previous winners of the award include Janet Yellen, John Bogle, David Booth and Cliff Asness.

  • Effective July 1, 2014, Jason Karceski, Guy Lakonishok and Greg Sleight were named Portfolio Managers at LSV. Jason focuses primarily on the firm’s Managed Volatility strategies in addition to his broader research responsibilities. He has been instrumental in the development and management of LSV’s Managed Volatility products since their inception. Guy and Greg work closely with Josef Lakonishok, Menno Vermeulen and Puneet Mansharamani managing daily portfolio cash flows and periodic strategy rebalances. These changes better reflect their current roles and responsibilities on the investment team.
  • Effective January 1, 2014, Leslie Kondziela, Compliance Officer, became our newest employee owner. We now have twenty-three employee owners of the firm.

  • Product Reopening: Our U.S. Mid-Cap Value and SMID Cap Value strategies (strategies closed since 2004 and 2000 respectively) have reopened for limited capacity and we also launched a U.S. Small Cap Value mutual fund for limited capacity.
